- Project Manager -
11th January 2010

Project Manager - London

The company is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to support the Head of Infrastructure and Production (preferably with experience of working at a senior level in a similar role within the oil industry). This position will be responsible for the overall maintenance and development of physical infrastructure on behalf of Greenergy, managing all operational aspects of the terminals, lease assets and acquisition opportunities.

Key activities include:

  • Engage in improvement and redevelopment projects;
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors, project management to subcontractor level; turnkey projects to one off engineering projects. Ensuring that all delivered on time and on budget;
  • Directing 3rd parties working with / on behalf of Greenergy in line with agreed standards and deadlines;
  • Resolving all project execution issues quickly, safely and with minimal disruption to business, working with colleagues and 3rd parties;
  • Managing and coordinating due diligence duties for the acquisition of all physical assets;
  • Researching and defining structural opportunities for Greenergy, providing concise reports; and
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and developing a relevant base of contacts to ensure Greenergy maximises all efficiency and structural opportunities.

This role will require some travel across the UK, approximately 2-3 days each week will be spent off site.

Personal Requirements:

  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self motivation and the ability to work autonomously;
  • Overall strength of character with the ability to operate at all levels of the business;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines through organisational and planning abilities; and
  • Enthusiastic approach to work with a drive to adapt and evolve with changing processes.

Educational Requirements (Knowledge and Skills):

  • A qualified engineer who has worked at a senior level managing complex and high level projects;
  • Crucially, this person will be able to source and manage the right 3rd parties as and when required for the successful completion of each project, competently managing several projects at once;
  • A high level of IT literacy, in particular in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate or above ability in Excel is essential; and
  • Knowledge of oil industry operations would be advantageous, in particular: gasoline and diesel operations, blending, stock management and oil quality parameters.

- Database Analyst Programmer -

Database Analyst Programmer - London

The company is seeking to recruit a Database Analyst Programmer to support the Head of IT Infrastructure in the development and maintenance of management information systems for the company.

Key activities include:

  • Development and implementation of management information systems within Greenergy including bespoke in house operations and position systems, haulage systems and invoicing systems;
  • Ongoing systems maintenance including;
  • Developing fixes and improvements;
  • Tracking issues and their development status;
  • Technical documentation of systems;
  • Refinements and amendments to Greenergy’s instance of Great Plains Dynamics;
  • General support to the other team members and providing holiday and sickness cover as required; and
  • Providing training and end user documentation of systems.

Personal Requirements:

  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self motivation and the ability to work autonomously;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines through organisational and planning abilities;
  • Enthusiastic approach to work with a drive to adapt and evolve with changing processes;
  • A sound understanding of relational databases; and
  • An understanding of software development methodologies and techniques including test planning.

Educational Requirements (Knowledge and Skills):

Strong working knowledge of:

  • Microsoft SQL Server data structure, object development and implementation;
  • Microsoft Access adp (access data project) application development;
  • Visual Studio and Visual Studio .NET;
  • Visual Basic & ASP .NET;
  • SQL Reporting services;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office development skills using visual basic for applications; and
  • Database report writing.

- Junior IT Desktop Support Officer -

Junior IT Desktop Support Officer - London

The company is seeking to recruit a Junior IT Desktop Support Officer to assist the Desktop support officer in providing an efficient helpdesk service that acts as the first point of contact for all IT and systems problems.

Key activities include:

  • Recording all issues and checking off once complete to ensure that system problems addressed speedily;
  • Working with Greenergy’s external accounts system support company to solve problems and set up / delete users and reset passwords;
  • Providing a comprehensive service to users for Desktops, laptops, mobile communications devices and peripherals. This involves responsibility for sourcing, installing configuring and \ or upgrading all Greenergy Desktops, laptops and peripherals;
  • Producing user documentation for in house database systems;
  • Induction and training of new users and provide training to users as to how to use Microsoft office applications and in house systems;
  • Participation in various IT related projects;
  • Testing in house systems; and
  • Supporting our telephone system.

Personal Requirements:

  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self motivation and the ability to work autonomously;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines through organisational and planning abilities;
  • Enthusiastic approach to work with a drive to adapt and evolve with changing processes; and
  • An understanding of software development methodologies and techniques including test planning.

Educational Requirements (Knowledge and Skills):
Windows XP Professional to an extremely high level;
Helpdesk problem solving experience;
Microsoft Office (2003) products to an extremely high level;
An understanding of active directory;
Must have good knowledge of windows networks;
Laptop, PC hardware and software configuration; and
Configuration of broadband.

Desirables:

Knowledge of oil pricing products i.e. Reuters;
Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics Accounting Package; and
Knowledge of IP office.
