Our priorities

Well-planned and controlled work

Using effective risk assessment, procedures, supervision and work controls.

Understanding and managing serious risks

Maintaining the safeguards that prevent major incidents.

Learning and continuous improvement

Ongoing training, reviewing performance, sharing learning and acting on findings.

Industry-recognised Life-Saving Rules and Process Safety Fundamentals

Reinforcing clear and consistent expectations across our operations.

Our approach

As a global supplier of transport fuels, we recognise that safe, reliable operations depend on strong leadership, clear accountability and a culture where everyone understands their role in identifying hazards, managing risk and speaking up when something doesn't look right. Our approach is built on prevention, learning and continuous improvement, helping us operate responsibly while delivering for our customers.

Across our fuel supply, storage, manufacturing, transport and customer delivery activities, we focus on preventing injury and work-related ill health, controlling serious operational risks and supporting people to work safely and confidently.

Everyone has a role to play

Health and safety is a shared responsibility. Leaders are accountable for understanding and managing risk, setting clear expectations and supporting a well-trained workforce with the resources to work safely and effectively – the Greenergy Way.

Our safety culture reflects Greenergy's values of Respect, Ownership, Care and Integrity.

Our goal is to create a proactive safety culture where risks are understood, controls are consistently applied and continuous improvement is part of everyday operations.

Preventing major incidents

Process safety focuses on preventing events such as significant loss of containment, fire, explosion or environmental release. We identify events that could realistically cause serious harm, maintain the safeguards that prevent escalation and verify that they remain effective.

This includes operating within safe limits, maintaining critical equipment, managing technical and organisational change, and preparing for abnormal and emergency situations.

Case study

Delivering safely

The safe transport of fuel is fundamental to our business. We take every reasonable step to ensure our drivers, vehicles and equipment are prepared to manage operational risks safely and effectively.

Our drivers transport hazardous products on public roads and deliver fuel at customer sites, often in busy environments. That is why we invest in comprehensive training, robust operating procedures and ongoing competency assessments to help ensure every delivery is completed safely and professionally.

All Greenergy drivers hold the necessary accreditations to perform their roles. We also provide ongoing refresher training that supports high safety standards across our operations, terminals and customer locations.

We believe the people closest to our operations are best placed to identify opportunities for improvement. Drivers are encouraged to report hazards, near misses and safety observations through formal reporting processes and open communication with management. By learning from experience and acting on feedback, we continuously strengthen the safety of our logistics operations and support a culture of continuous improvement.
