Integrated supply chain

Greenergy supplies fuel to wholesale, commercial, industrial and retail customers across multiple international markets through a network of import terminals, storage facilities, distribution infrastructure and retail operations.

Our presence combines global supply capability with strong local market knowledge, enabling us to deliver reliable fuel solutions tailored to regional customer needs.

Across our operations, we supply a broad range of products including gasoline, diesel, heating oil, renewable fuels, lubricants and speciality fuels. Through established businesses and strategic infrastructure, we provide resilient supply chains that help keep customers moving every day.

Product quality

A structured approach to quality assurance

Comprehensive and effective procedures are used to monitor and control the quality of the fuels we supply.

In the event of a quality concern, we can trace every litre of fuel back through our supply chain, to identify the truck, loading rack, tank and ship it came from, so we can rapidly identify root causes and respond appropriately.

We have a formal quality management system covering the movement of fuel from load point to our customer sites in the UK. The system is certified to ISO 9001 and includes extensive product quality controls.

About our quality checks

Maintaining fuel quality is a core part of our supply operations. Every fuel product delivered into a Greenergy terminal is tested before it enters storage tanks, and representative samples are retained to support traceability and quality assurance.

Before fuel is approved for loading into road tankers, it is independently tested to confirm it meets both Greenergy's sales specification and the relevant fuel quality standards. In Europe, this is:

EN228

for petrol and super unleaded

EN590

for diesel

EN14214

for biodiesel

Quality controls

To protect fuel integrity throughout storage and distribution, Greenergy operates strict terminal quality control procedures designed to prevent cross-contamination between products. Comprehensive service level agreements with terminal operators define clear quality management, communication and operational standards across our storage network.

In addition, all diesel storage tanks undergo routine monthly testing for water contamination and microbiological activity. This proactive monitoring helps maintain fuel quality, reduce operational risk and ensure our products continue to meet the required industry specifications before delivery to customers.

Quality

Monitoring fuel quality across our supply chain

Comprehensive and effective procedures are used to monitor and control the quality of the fuels we supply.

About our quality checks

Any product which we buy into one of our terminals is tested before it enters any of our tanks. We retain product samples.

Independent inspectors test our fuel before it is released for loading onto a road tanker, to verify that it complies with our sales specification and with the relevant quality standard – EN228 for petrol and super unleaded, EN590 for diesel or EN14214 for biodiesel.

Strict procedures are in place to prevent fuel stored in a tank in one of our terminals from being contaminated as a result of incorrect pumping activity (cross-overs).

Formal service level agreements with all our terminal operators cover communication and quality control.

Monthly testing for water and microbiological activity in diesel tanks takes place at all the terminals where we store fuel.

Supporting our customers on quality matters

We aim to exceed the expectations of our customers through a combination of leadership and proactive, preventive action.

We pride ourselves in the quality of support we provide to our customers if there is a problem at one of their sites.

We are quick to send our own experts to site when necessary, to carry out formal investigations or assist with corrective and preventive action.

ISO 9001 certification

A formal quality management system under ISO 9001

We have a formal quality management system covering the movement of fuel from load point to our customer sites in the UK.

The system is certified to ISO 9001 and includes extensive product quality controls.

The system requires quality inspections of our fuel at each point of our supply chain. We also have formal procedures and service level agreements with all our terminal partners.

By driving continual performance review, our quality management system provides a formalised framework through which to respond to changing customer, industry and statutory requirements. It allows us to share information quickly and effectively with our stakeholders.
